The Mod will share the list of what page contributors are assigned to: single page ad, spread ad, interview, tip-guide or quiz. After contributors explore different ideas they may want to do, the Mod will share the main spreadsheet link upon the announced time.
HOW IT WORKS: STEP ONE "BRAINSTORM"
So you know your page type now. Do you know what idea you wanna do? If you're stuck, head to the "Awesome Ideas" channel on the discord. Come up with 1-3 ideas you may want to do for your page. In your list of ideas, please be sure to include a less popular character as well (in case the main popular characters are shown too much in the zine). If you've got a tip-guide/interview type of page, then be sure to DM your writer/artist to discuss possible ideas to work with. Please note that all contributors are expected to collaborate and compromise on ideas. We're all here to help each other, and work together to make an amazing zine.
HOW IT WORKS: STEP TWO "NEED GREENLIGHT"
The Mod will announce the exact time when "Greenlighting" begins (if you can't make it to the server at that noted time, please DM the Mod as soon as possible so arrangements can be made). This is when contributors present their ideas that they want to do and the Mod will greenlight/approve your idea. First come, first serve. If there are too many contributors choosing main characters, the mod will send out a general request for people to give some love to the minor characters as well. We want the zine to cover a large scope of characters within the fandom. Additionally, it's okay to have a similar idea theme to another contributor (just as long as the idea has a different perspective to it).
Please note: Many other zine organizers have a spreadsheet of characters contributors want do and the setup/theme involved ranging from first choice to last choice. A majority of the times, not everyone will get their first favorite pitch idea chosen. Some do, and some don't. This is the same with CosmicCowZine's case. With our projects, artists will have a say in what they want to do, even if it's not exactly the first and number one choice they wanted to do. This scheduled "greenlighting" method is used so that people won't have to wait for days, building up anxiety just to see if their first or second or third idea is greenlit or not.
HOW IT WORKS: STEP THREE "PUT IT ON THE SPREADSHEET"
Once the Mod has approved "greenlit" your idea, then put it in the "themes/ideas" section of your page on the main spreadsheet. Congrats, you can start on making the piece now!
IMPORTANT
The Mod is working on answering requests as fast as humanly possible. The Mod will go through greenlighting requestings in chronological order (first come, first serve). So don't worry if you don't get an immmediate answer in 2-3 minutes. If it's been like 10 minutes without a response, ask the Mod again, maybe the message request was missed.
